  • Over 500 Kinyarwanda-speaking individuals live in the Greater Milwaukee area, including refugees, students, and Diversity Visa Lottery recipients.

  • The community includes all ages—from newborns to grandparents—with varied educational backgrounds and English proficiency levels.

  • Despite these differences, members share a commitment to integration, mutual support, and contributing positively to life in Wisconsin.

  • Kinyarwanda is spoken in East-Central Africa, primarily in Rwanda and neighboring regions of Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Tanzania.

  • The community is united by a shared culture and heritage and welcomes all who are interested in learning about its values.
