Over 500 Kinyarwanda-speaking individuals live in the Greater Milwaukee area, including refugees, students, and Diversity Visa Lottery recipients.

The community includes all ages—from newborns to grandparents—with varied educational backgrounds and English proficiency levels.

Despite these differences, members share a commitment to integration, mutual support, and contributing positively to life in Wisconsin.

Kinyarwanda is spoken in East-Central Africa, primarily in Rwanda and neighboring regions of Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Tanzania.

The community is united by a shared culture and heritage and welcomes all who are interested in learning about its values.
